Many of you know I have a pet bearded dragon named Agave, and enjoy lizards of all kinds. My very first (and favorite!) pet lizard as a kid was a chameleon named Fernando; Fernando became the starring character of many of my pen & ink and watercolor artworks as I was growing up. It should be no suprise then that I love the Disney movie Tangled, since Rapunzel is an artist and her sidekick Pascal the chameleon is the star of the show as far as I'm concerned.
Although Fernando doesn't make an appearance in this painting (I do occasionally sneak him into some of my works, though), watching that movie while painting definitely influenced my work on "Out There Where They Glow".
